Hélène Bard

Hélène is a bilingual Human Resource Professional/ Consultant with strong customer focus and leadership skills experienced at working in a fast-paced multi-cultural/multi-site/country environment. Hélène has over 20+ year’s human resources experience working in developing executives’ and managers’ leadership skills. Her past roles included executive coaching, leadership and team development, strategic planning, 360 degree feedback, succession planning, career development, change implementation, performance management and organisational development. Hélène has also been involved in all aspects of compensation, contract management, policy writing and implementation as well as managed a bilingual training facility where she was a key facilitator for several programs. Helene was also instrumental in several large recruiting and downsizing projects in Canada and in Europe.

Chuck Colford

Chuck has over 20 years of leadership experience in areas of business, product and organizational development in both large and small companies. Chuck started his career at Bell-Northern Research (subsequently Nortel) where he progressed from development to business leadership roles. He ultimately owned profit and loss of the 2.5-gigabit family of products within the Passport 15000 portfolio and delivered over $150M US of revenue. Chuck has extensive startup experience, as Microelectronics Leader at Process Technology Limited, and General Manager of California-based OnCore Systems Corporation. In 2002, he co-founded Trigence Corp. where he raised $7.2M in financing and served as CEO for 3+ years. Chuck focuses his experience to help leaders of organizations drive strategic planning and change management. Chuck holds an Honours degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and has studied at the Centre for Creative Leadership.

Helen Cooper

Helen has been an executive in the field of Human Resources for 10 years. Her 19 years of progressive business and HR experience has focused on: HR and business strategy, executive / leadership development and managing organizational change. Helen quickly establishes trust and rapport to assist her clients. Her experience spans both the private and public sectors including the federal government, financial and education institutions as well as high technology. She has specific competence in: coaching leaders/employees, organizational design, change management processes, team building, group dynamics and employee engagement. Helen’s recent background includes a coaching and team development practice of an Aboriginal Leadership team within the federal government. She brings maturity, excellent interpersonal skills, strong credibility with senior/executive management, and a strategic, creative mindset to her consulting engagements.

Ten years of operational and progressive HR leadership prepared Helen for her most signification strategic HR contribution as a Human Resource executive during the High Technology boom and bust cycle from 1999 until 2004. Helen also has extensive Merger and Acquisition experience acquired in both the High Tech and Financial sectors.

Helen brings maturity, excellent interpersonal skills, credibility at the Board level and senior/executive management. She is noted for her expertise and the passion to drive for results in all assignments.

Cindy Desouza

Cindy Desouza is currently providing management consulting services leveraging her broad background. Up to July 2006, she was a Senior Consultant in the Human Capital Management (HCM) practice at IBM Global Business Services (formerly PricewaterhouseCoopers). Over the past twelve years, Cindy has acquired broad experience in both the private and public sectors – prior to joining IBM, she worked as an HR professional for a major chartered bank and for a federal government agency. She has also demonstrated solid teaching and training skills, having taught Organizational Behaviour and train-the-trainer courses at McGill University’s Faculty of Management, as well as conducting a variety of workplace training courses in diverse working environments. Cindy has extensive experience in a senior human resources advisory role, counselling management on a wide range of HR-related issues. Her areas of interest include: organizational design and development; strategic HR initiatives; talent management; change management; organizational review and internal audit of the HR function; HR process redesign; recruitment and retention; classification; learning and development; employee relations, communications and conflict resolution; and competency-based HR management. Cindy is fluently bilingual in spoken and written French and English, with functional Spanish.

Mike Garner

Mike is a management and procurement consultant with nearly 25 years experience in government (National Defence and Transport Canada-Air) and additional experience in the private sector -- in project management, computer-embedded real time systems, information management, software design and production, and government procurement.  He has managed international projects, including a role as Co-Project Manager of a Canada/ US joint system development valued at $155 million, located in Washington D.C, using military approaches to specifications, quality and configuration management, incentive contracts. He has controlled budgets of $2-4 million per year plus staff costs, and managed various staffs, including 16 military and civilians, plus contractors management consulting to federal and municipal governments. He has extensive experience in federal government procurements, including performance-based contracting and outsourcing; e-commerce (B2C / B2B) in the private sector; Government On-line (GOL) - Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) and departmental; real property analysis, computer systems.

As a Professional Engineer (B. Eng. - Electrical, Computer) Mike has a solid technical knowledge in digital electronics and computer-based systems. He holds Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation certification; outstanding English skills; attained a Canadian Federal Government Level B in French; and holds a current Level II Secret security clearance. He assimilates data quickly and adapts well to new environments, able to be deployed on assignment.  He has received superior annual reviews while in government, and excellent references from clients to whom he has provided consulting services. 

David Gibson

David has over 20 years experience in working with public and private sector organizations. For the last 12 years, he has worked with business leaders and managers to develop their leadership capabilities and to evolve their organizations. This work involved executive coaching, leadership and team development, strategic planning, and career planning. He is a certified both as a professional coach and a facilitator for a broad range of leadership assessments. Also, David has extensive experience in management and leadership roles during his career at Nortel Networks. He led a variety of engineering teams and organizations to develop leading edge products and technologies. He holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.

Aileen Kenny

Aileen Kenny is a writer and editor with five years experience as a writer producing technical and business documentation for a variety of audiences, in various genres, and using a variety of software application tools. Her technical writing experience includes working as a User Education team member for an electronic forms design software company and as a writer/editor/process developer for an Internet security company. She has worked as a writer/editor/process developer on Secure Channel – a joint Government of Canada and Team Bell Canada project. As well – over a period of fifteen years – she worked as a registered nurse and as an office administer in various medical environments. She is proficient in writing, editing, analysis, and process development.

Dr. Rebecca Leaver

Rebecca integrates her background in organizational development and depth psychology. As a seasoned human resources development specialist with over 20 years' experience designing, developing, and delivering interventions, Rebecca acts as catalyst for personal and organizational change. Rebecca has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.

Sue MacLaurin

Sue has facilitated business leaders, managers and teams in group-learning environments, team building interventions and organization development activities for over the past 20 years. She has earned the honour of facilitating in India, Australia, Mexico, and U.S.A. and across Canada. As an entrepreneur Sue has been President of her own company, Ourspace Incorporated since January 1994. Her expertise as a credible and authentic adult facilitator is known throughout the Ottawa area. She currently has been entrusted with the responsibility of facilitating several professional development programs for Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business. She has also been awarded the role of Project Manager for several long-term Sprott projects, demonstrating their view of her competence and trustworthiness. Sue has been formally educated as a facilitator of Adult Learning; in addition she has completed an Organization Development certificate program through National Training Labs in U.S, which complement her extensive facilitation experience in both the private and public sector.

Larry Moore

Larry is President of Lawrence A. Moore Consulting, Ltd. and has a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) designation from Disaster Recovery Institute International. He has extensive experience and expertise in Project Management and Business Continuity Management services, and is a member of Disaster Recovery Institute Canada, Disaster Recovery Information Exchange ( Ottawa), and the Project Management Institute (Ottawa Valley Chapter). Larry has over 25 years in the Information Technology industry, with both private and public sector experience.

Peter Neville

Peter is an Electrical Engineer, experienced facilitator and management consultant with more than 20 years experience leading change. He has lectured on e-Government topics and has acted as an advisor, system integration lead and project manager for a wide range of clients. He has led major infrastructure projects, been a principal consultant for outsourcing solutions and led major lifecycle management initiatives. He is also experienced in applying the balanced scorecard approach to performance improvement. Peter held various Public Service positions before joining the private sector, including: Head of Engineering and Maintenance Policy (DND); Project Management Policy Analyst (TBS); Manager, Project Management and Control for the Space Station Program (CSA).

Trevor Peters

Trevor has 15 years experience in the design and delivery of enterprise IT computing solutions. He has focused on infrastructure projects including networking, network operating systems, messaging, operations management and security. Trevor specializes in Enterprise Architecture and design of complex IT solutions. He also actively participates in strategic organizational planning to assist his customers with vision and direction to ensure IT meets business needs. More recently Trevor has delivered several Enterprise directory and messaging solutions based on Microsoft technologies. Trevor is a strong leader with excellent communication skills – both oral and written – which has led him to be assigned to many strategic sales initiatives and delivery programs.
