Challenge: Cap Gemini won a $1 B multi year agreement to provide IT Outsourcing services to Hydro One. During the transition of services additional expertise was required to support the completion of the development of unit pricing and service levels.

Action: This problem required an experience IT outsourcing practitioner to lead the development of service description, service levels and unit pricing. Foursight provided expertise based on its prior outsourcing experience to allow Cap Gemini to complete the transition of IT services in a timely fashion. The scope of this engagement included Applications Development and Maintenance, mainframe and server services, desktop support and help desk services.

Impact: By bringing in experienced IT outsourcing professionals, the risk and impact of the business decision faced during this stage of the negotiations were well understood and possible alternatives could be assessed to drive improved business decisions and outcomes.
